I encountered somewhat same things in her other books with the fmc wanting to do reckless stupid stuff and i really hope she doesn't write anything else like that again. Trust me that made so uncomfortable, it came outta nowhere and it messed me so much i wanted to just dnf that book right at the moment but i well, finished it thankful she didn't do anything else. Why the strong sexual attraction in just a few chapters and no build up towards love.okay let's put that aside but fmc doing reckless things out of nowhere? She is a grown woman of 25 but she first came to a very dangerous place thinking nothing will happen to her, then the mmc warned her to not do anything like that again but she went and again did something excusing her stupidity on the "i just want to experience something i never did" okay makes sense but why tf u have to do something dangerous? Then she tried to go somewhere with the mmc's rival (sigh yes) knowing she shouldn't and also knowing those places were dangerous and fast forward she was nearly, she was on the verge of getting tw: raped!!! There are too many things in that novel which were just not it that I don't know where to start. The other day i was reading Dreaming of You by her which is highly recommended sigh and it just annoyed me. It's not the settings per se but the way the characters act mostly the fmc seem like they are living in our world and she just insert some problematic stuff out of nowhere which i'm not really the fan off. The Wallflower series were really good and so does the Hathaway series but other than those, whatever i tried to read of her i just didn't seem to enjoy coz idk they didn't quite gave me an impression that i was reading a historical? If that makes sense. Guys i'm sorry for making this post but i had enough.
